The Board of Trustees of the Center for the Visual and Performing Arts, Inc. (Center for the Arts) is charged with governance of the nonprofit organization “to provide critical capital – intellect, reputation, resources and access – to power nonprofit success and thereby strengthen communities.” The Board is comprised of founding members Jim Butcher, Duke Thompson and Sallee Kunkel Filkins, as well as new members who are leaders in the community and dedicated to achieving the mission. The Board is currently focusing its efforts on expansion of the Board as well as the creation of an Advisory Board. The Board of Trustees meets monthly and the Advisory Board will meet quarterly.
